Simon Ostenfeld Pedersen
Associate Professor at Aarhus School of Architecture
His research includes working on the history of architecture, valuation of architectural cultural heritage and strategic development of cities and rural areas through site specific stories and potentialities. He is leading the research project “Screening af Danmarks kulturmiljøer” [Screening of Danish cultural environments], which maps cultural environments in 52 Danish municipalities and develops new knowledge and tools for the administration of cultural environments. He is associated with the research project “Modulsystemer i bygningskulturarven” [Modul systems in the architectural heritage], which though digital technologies and production develops and tests new methos on how to transform buildings without any immediate function but worthy of preservation. His work includes publications on topics such as history of architecture, restoration, architecture of museums, cultural environments and building culture in Southern Jutland.
